How to join USMS
(New 2010 Form On-Line 11/1)
To join USMS simply print out and complete the individual
registration form and send it in to the address on the form along with a check for the registration fee. Note that you can type directly into this form and then print it out. Please remember to sign the form. Within a very short time you will receive your registration card with your registration number. Keep this card handy, as any USMS registered event or workout you attend as a visitor you will need to show your card.
You can also register online with a credit card at the USMS website.
With membership in USMS you receive:
- a subscription to SWIM Magazine
- secondary accident and liability insurance during all sanctioned and organized workouts
- access to workout with any USMS swim program in the country: http://www.usms.org/placswim/
- access to USMS resources such as those found on the usms website http://www.usms.org
- opportunities to compete in USMS sanctioned events

Are you looking to participate in one event sanctioned by USMS, then simply download, print, complete and mail in the
One Event Registration Form.
How to register your club with USMS
A) Existing Clubs should re-register each year before October 31st by
completing a Club
Membership Application (2010) and returning it to the LMSC Registrar with the appropriate fee.
Please note that the location of the
team's pool is requested, to facilitate inquiries regarding locations.
A club must be registered before individual swimmers can be registered with
that club.
B) New Clubs may register at any time by completing the
Club Membership Application (2010) and
submitting it to the LMSC Registrar with the appropriate fee.
A club must be registered before individual swimmers can be registered with
the new club.
How to sanction or recognize an event

Natural Resources (DLNR),

requires permits when running races.
